EXCEPT
when it is.
So, not to get tooooo personal but I had that dreaded infection last week.
It was HORRENDOUS.
I was so ill that I couldn’t even stand.
Jan was flying home from Texas when I came down with it.
It was bad.
Real bad.
The girls had to make themselves dinner.
What did they have for din din?
Toast & Fresca.
(Please note that the Fresca can has it’s very own place mat. These are important details you don’t want to miss, friends!)
They were thrilled
&
proud of their accomplishment.
When I was sitting motionless on the sofa they asked,
“Why?”
I explained that I was sick.
Their response,
“We are sick too.”
Hmmm! Is that so?
I take OUR temperatures
Mine: 101
Theirs: 96.8
“What does that mean, mommy?”
“It means I really am sick and you are not. Now go to bed.”
Then the bed battle began, between Clara and myself.
In the end we made a compromise — she slept on the floor.
When Jan got home I was lying motionless in bed, moaning.
I had the chills, fever and my torso felt like it was on fire.
We had a good laugh the day after because my moaning was awesome! Jan said if I hadn’t been so sick he would have filmed me. I kinda wish he had, now.
In fact at one point in the night I woke myself up with a moan.
I can laugh now,
because
I
feel
great.
(& I hope you do to – feel great that is, I really hope you don’t have mastitis and that you NEVER will)

Ouchy-wa-wa! Mastitis sounds like the WORST! I’m so glad that you’ve recovered and that your girls know how to make dinner. Toast and Fresca, eh? Sounds pretty good to me!
