It’s because I just watched “Days of Heaven.”
It made me feel, well,
weird.
It was beautifully shot and I guess it was a ground breaking film but it made me feel
weird.
It’s a story about a creepy love triangle and all the people are beautiful but they are sad.
They don’t have real love & they don’t have
family
(the BEST thing in the whole world)
I thought it was interesting and I know it is artsy and beautiful, and I think I am supposed to be blown away, but I’m not.
You see, when I watch a movie ideally I want to feel like
BOUNCING
when it’s over.
(and when I say BOUNCING I mean “boing. boing. yippie. love. truth. beauty. etc. etc. etc.”)
You know what almost always makes me feel like bouncing?
Tess & Betta
Just look at ’em! Are they not darling?!
I love them so much!
SO MUCH!
When we were in UT they helped me so dang much.
They watched my kids and loved them and played with them and laughed with them….
just thinking about it makes me want to
CRY
for
JOY.
I just wanted to say that they are the best
&
thinking about them has taken away the
weird
feeling away
&
replaced it with a
BOUNCING
sorta feeling.
(this post* about my brother, written by his darling wife has also added to the BOUNCING feeling)
I love my family.
*dang, it’s on my google reader but not on her blog. when it shows up on the blog I will link to it. Sorry to leave you in suspense dearest readers.

“Days of Heaven,” is a beautifully sad film. Bette just finished watching, “The New World,” which is about Pocahontas and directed by Terrence Mallick. I walked in the last twenty minutes and started singing “Colors of the Wind,” but then in the last ten minutes I was blown away by the goodness and beauty of the film. You might like it. Also, the character Pocahontas wears a SWEET outfit when she meets the King.

I second that Pocahontas outfit when she meets the King is pure dope.
Liza, this post made me feel so happy and took away my own weird feelings after a hard-ish day. We love you and your darling kids!
I haven’t seen Days of Heaven, but I’m pretty dang sure you would like The New World better. Pocahontas is darling and true love prevails. (You know, the good stuff.)
LOVE YOU

Ahh.. Sisterlove! It makes me happy that you make each other happy and help drive away the yucky stuff. I’m so glad I got me some daughters, cause, as you know, I never had a sister. It was worth the wait. (Smiley face goes here.)
